Holes

Not sure why, but there were some massive holes in the yard. It seemed that they were the remnants of large tree roots as the holes were 'lined' with bark, yet there was no trace of the tree or the wood that would have constituted the roots.

Anyway, driving over them to get the trailer in and out of the yard was an issue as it made vehicle and trailer drop 10 inches.

Anyway, I moved about 300lbs of the slumping earth from one side of the house to fill said holes. Took ages!

Source- this dirt has been a problem, trapping damp against the house. I had to remove 8-12 inches along the length of the house.

Above is the destination, one hole remains at this point,  looks like a burrow
